World/Campus Domination
Posted by Sam at 2:33 PM
I just received word that a fully operational Starbucks is about to be erected here, on the Quinnipiac University campus. While I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks' world domination strategies, I am an enormous fan of coffee. And, since lately I've found that I'm on campus more than I am at my apartment, this is a very good thing. A very, very good thing.

You corprate lackey! What about Old Man Peters who used to brew your java? Are you going to let these Seattle upstarts put him and sweet old Mrs. Peters into the poorhouse? I guess you will if there is free WiFi.

i think it is important to say the following things: 1. i am officially stalking you via your rss feed. 2. starbucks is nice to its employees. they give even part time folks full benefits. this makes them not-so-evil. 3. you should come over here!

I have never really thought that Starbucks is evil, per se. In fact some of their practices are really cool... including the treatment of their employees. It's more an issue of the overwhelming abundance of their stores. But like I said, their presence on my campus will be very welcomed!
