Well either way, we're all doomed. Doomed I tell you! Doomed!
Really though, a topic like this is so politically charged, it's hard to know what studies or whose statistics to believe. That's why I make up my own... Kidding. Just kidding.
"Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent. 14% of people know that." - Homer Simpson

Well I was watching Penn & Teller's Bullshit and they had the former president of Greenpeace on and he said that the whole Global Warming thing has been co-opted by people with political/anticorprate agendas and the current science dosen't support the claims. Yes that right I get all of my environmental news from a Showtime show called Bullshit...but you know you all rely on The Daily Show for your news so there!

I too once played Magic and have since returned to it because it is still fun. I admit to everyone I know that I'm a total dork(I prefer nerd), but I have a girlfriend too and she just laughs at me.

I dunno homey... we must be reading different blogs. In fact, I just read this one today. Tony Blair says, "it is now plain that the emission of greenhouse gases... is causing global warming at a rate that is unsustainable." And, from the report, there may be "potentially large numbers of extinctions" and "major increases in hunger and water shortage risks... particularly in developing countries". Yikes! That's some scary stuff...
But regardless... it's been unseasonably warm lately. And, as a hard core New Englander, I'm feeling pretty gipped!

sad to say, but this will be the only thing i agree with the president on.
i'm sure you can find many higher temperatures recorded for this time of year in the past century.
besides, global warming would really only lead us right back into another ice age...hmmm...isnt that naturally due about now anyways???

bay area fact (that you probably already know): one of the guys who founded starbucks had worked at peet's in college. now, most peet's lack chairs. i've heard that this is to keep the smelly hippies from hanging out and chasing away all the regular customers. this may explain the lack of seating. (either that, or they might just want to facilitate higher tourist turnover).

Friday the 13th AND a full moon. Sweeeeet.
Your Goth comment reminded me of:
Kyle: Aw, come on, dude! All you've done for the last four days is mope around! You might as well hang out with those Goth kids who dress in black and talk about pain all the time!
Stan: Maybe I should. At least they will understand me. Maybe I should hang with the Goth kids.
[South Park Elementary, loading bay. Stan finds the boys]
Goth 1: Life is pain. Life is only pain. [his large bang falls over his right eye, he jerks his head back to put the bang in place] We're all taught to believe in happy fairytale endings. [his bang fall over his eye, he jerks his head back] But there's only blackness. Dark, depressing loneliness that [his bang fall over his eye, he jerks his head back] eats at your soul.
Goth 2: Who needs that kind of Barbie love, anyway? Everyone's just walking around like a bunch of conforminsts. Go ahead and wear your business suits so you can make thirty-four thousand dollars a year to buy your condominium. They're all zombies racing to their graves. Love didn't work for my mom and dad. Why should it work for me?
Goth Girl: My dad is such an asshole. Drunken bastard doesn't even know I exist. But then he won't let me go to the Skinny Puppy concert because my heroine-addict aunt is coming over for dinner. [takes a puff] Dinner? That's a laugh. Just an excuse for my mom to bitch at me for not wearing girly clothes like all the Britney Spears wannabes at this school.
Little Goth: They're all a bunch of Nazi conformists cheerleaders.
[Stan looks stunned at the age of this youngest of Goths]
Stan: But if life is only pain, then... what's the point of living?
Goth 1: Just to make life more miserable for the conformists. [his bang fall over his eye, he jerks his head back]
Stan: All right, so how do I join you?
Goth 2: If you wanna be one of the non-conformists, all you have to do is dress just like us and listen to the same music we do.
Stan: ...'K.

Shocker Toys acquires licensing rights for GWAR!
Buffalo, NY. – Shocker Toys announces they have acquired the rights to produce GWAR action figures in Shockini form and 6-8 inch fully sculpted figures. GWAR has been the most horrifying band since it's inception in the 80's, the present and ongoing. Oderus Urungus, Flattus Maximus, Beefcake the Mighty, Jizmak Da Gusha and Balsac the Jaws of Death will be featured in the set based off of their GWAR characters.
Under a license from GWAR, the GWAR action figures will retail for around $15 and will be available at specialty stores and mass retailers in Summer of 2006. Each figure will come with plenty of murderous accessories and a GWAR comic book for a little reading after dark! Also to be produced will be Shockini versions of GWAR shrunk down into 3 inch block figures they will kick the block figure world square in the blocks!
GWAR came to rock when their creator imprisoned them in an iceberg on the frozen continent of Antarctica. Millions of years later: 1980ish. Glam rock was at its peak, groups like Poison and Whitesnake were dominating the airwaves. They inspired a whole slew of new "hair spray" bands. But little did they know, all of that hair spray put a hole in the ozone - right above Antarctica! Soon the unfiltered gamma rays melted the iceberg and GWAR was free. Taught to use instruments by Sleazy P. Martini and learning the language from watching midget wrestling and MTV they soon became known as the greatest band in the Universe...
About GWAR GWAR is a satirical thrash metal/punk band formed in 1985-1986 by a group of artists and musicians at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. The band is perhaps best known for their elaborate sci-fi/horror film inspired costumes, raunchy lyrics, and graphic stage performances. For more info visit: http://www.gwar.net/

He made me research the entire website for him while on the phone. I need you to know that I am not an apple girl, but I did this just because Sam is in fact my brother. To Siblings!

Hi Sam, This is Ena :) I am both entranced and amazed by the robotic cuteness - and he very fact that your mom would knit such beasties - and they are quiet large! You are right to be prepared for the inevitable onslaught, and armed with the great guide (from mom as well !) your mom is way cool. May I be so cool to John as he grows up... -Ena
